Catherine Donovan

Analyst, Nuclear Energy and Nonproliferation

Catherine Donovan supports ITTA’s clients on a broad range of issues related to nuclear energy and nonproliferation. Her work focuses on the development and deployment of advanced nuclear technologies, nuclear materials, nuclear waste management, and international collaboration on civil nuclear energy. Ms. Donovan follows policy and regulatory developments relevant to those areas in Congress and in US government agencies including the Departments of Energy, Defense, and Commerce, as well as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Before joining ITTA, Ms. Donovan interned with the Nuclear Materials Security team at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, where she performed research on emerging reactor technologies in support of a nuclear scaling initiative. Prior, she was a Boren Fellow in Kazakhstan, where she studied Russian and international relations. Ms. Donovan holds a Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies with a concentration in Science and Technology from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Richmond.
