Katja S. Newman - Manager, Latin America Consulting Group Espaņol
For
over 10 years, Ms. Newman has worked throughout Latin America and the
Caribbean. She has experience in strategic planning, political/economic
risk analysis, business development, and is fluent in Spanish. Before
joining ITTA, Ms. Newman worked for Caribbean/Latin American Action
directing business development programs and conferences for several
Fortune 500 companies. She also helped companies interpret international
trade developments by working closely with WTO, FTAA, USTR, and
government officials. Prior to that, Ms. Newman managed civic
development and political party-building programs at the International
Republican Institute.
Since joining ITTA, Ms. Newman has helped our clients coordinate
business strategies, analyze international trade developments, and plan
for political and economic risk. She has a Masters Degree in Foreign
Policy and Latin America from George Washington University. Ms. Newman
is also a leading member of the Washington International Trade
Association, Inter-American Dialogue, Americas Forum, and Women in
International Trade.
