After completing his Ph.D. in October 1996, Dr. Pagedas joined ITTA as a specialist in contemporary security policy. His specific interests include U.S. and European security, the ethnic conflicts in the Balkans, the Middle East Peace Process, nuclear strategy and the control of nuclear weapons, as well as mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. and European defense industries.

 

Since joining ITTA in March 1997, Dr. Pagedas has helped several large companies with global interests achieve their business objectives in various developed, underdeveloped and developing countries of the world. He has also supported ITTA’s efforts to assist several foreign companies in pursuing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships with major U.S. and other overseas companies.

 

Dr. Pagedas was awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of War Studies, King’s College, University of London for his doctoral thesis on Anglo-American relations with France during the Eisenhower and Kennedy periods. He received an MA from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and a BA in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Dr. Pagedas is the author of  Anglo-American Strategic Relations and the French Problem, 1960-1963: A Troubled Partnership (London: Frank Cass, 2000) as well as the co-editor of Personalities, War & Diplomacy: Essays in International History (London: Frank Cass, 1997). His other significant publications include ‘Continuity and Change: The United States, Great Britain, and Military Intervention during the Cold War’ in A.M. Dorman and T.G. Otte (eds.) Military Intervention: From Gunboat Diplomacy to Humanitarian Intervention (Aldershot: Dartmouth Press, 1995). Dr. Pagedas frequently contributes to scholarly journals and books, and is a member of the Council for Emerging National Security Affairs (CENSA).
