"U.S. International Leadership in the 21st Century", a publication co-edited by W. Bruce Weinrod, ITTA Managing Director and General Counsel, and Paula J. Dobriansky, Director of the Washington Office of the Council on Foreign Relations, was released in January 2001. The volume contains a series of essays that focus on U.S. foreign, defense and international economic policy. Contributors to this volume have served in senior positions in the U.S. government.

Among the contributors are:

- Dr. Lawrence B. Lindsey, who wrote the chapter on international economic policy, entitled "American Economic Leadership." President George W. Bush has appointed Dr. Lindsey as his chief economic advisor. A former member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (1991-1997), he has been the Resident Scholar and holder of the Arthur F. Burns Chair in Economics at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. 

- Dr. William Schneider, Jr. who wrote the chapter on defense issues, is a former Undersecretary of State and has served as an advisor to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. He presently serves as the Chairman of the Department of State’s Defense Trade Advisory Group. His chapter is entitled "U.S. World Leadership in the 21st Century: the Military Dimension."
